We’re thrilled to announce the Public Compliance Center! Ever since we first launched Stark’s Compliance Center we’ve spoke to so many customers about the ways it streamlines all requirements across departments and makes meaningful, measurable progress toward meeting them – especially when operating in many different countries.

Accessibility compliance touches every department in a company, and proactively managing your accessibility posture has become a non-negotiable requirement both from a legal and development lifecycle perspective. What has become a standard practice to centrally manage privacy and security compliance is now possible for accessibility thanks to Stark. And you can read more on this in our industry white paper.

As more and more companies (especially in their legal departments) have started embracing Compliance Center, the feedback is that they wanted to make their accessibility posture publicly visible “just like we do with Vanta or Drata” so that partners, customers, or vendors can see all relevant data in one place.

Well, we listened and today we’re launching the Public Compliance Center.

Let’s go through how it works!

Update

Make sure you regularly audit your controls, assign control owners, and update your evidence.

Edit

To ensure your public Compliance Center looks and feels like your brand, and represents your company’s commitment to accessibility, you can:

• Upload your logo

• Choose a primary brand color that is used in the header area as well as for links (we even contrast check it for you!).

• Upload a background cover image that matches your brand for the header area

• Customize which information is being shown to the public

• Upload additional documents you want to make public (e.g. VPATs)

Publish

After you’ve checked the preview of your Public Compliance Center, hit the “Publish” button in the upper right corner of the Editor to publish your Accessibility Compliance Center online. Check out Stark's public compliance center. It’s that easy!

Once your Public Compliance Center is active, you receive a unique URL (custom domains coming soon!) and are able to add a “Monitored by Stark” badge to your website. 

Just like with privacy and security, your entire accessibility compliance can now be centralized. Direct customers here to view your accessibility statement. Upload your VPATs to make them available in one place. Share the link directly with partners, auditors, or vendors.

What’s next on the roadmap

Currently each team on the Stark platform has their own Compliance Center. As we work on adding an organization layer on top of team management, we’re also looking to offer a global Compliance Center for enterprise level (this is our Scale plan) customers.

Additionally, in Q1, we’re adding support for EAA (European Accessibility Act) frameworks as well as enabling custom frameworks for organizations.
